Feeling bored with reality here on terra firma? look no further! This activity is truly out of this word! In this challenge, students took 3 different students portraits, merged dominant features together using Photoshop blending techniques and added an animal skin of their choice!  They then designed a creative header using Illustrator and created multiple drafts for “the client” demonstrating their understanding of colour theory, composition and digital storytelling. Activities like these get the creative juices flowing and student’s minds on the movie making units to follow…

By the end of this activity students will demonstrate a deeper understanding of:

-intermediate photographic principles using DSLR cameras and specialty lenses
-studio lighting, tripods, green screens, studio safety
– vectoring creative typefaces in Illustrator
– typographic composition
-intermediate Photoshop blending techniques
– SFX and animation opportunities
– alternate draft creation
– publishing graphic art to print and web using the Adobe Creative Suite
